Why my grandaughter was diagnosed as asthmatic, while she was only 5 years of age. In our local schools, my grandaughter is highly respected as an outstanding basketball player. My wife and I have raised her since shortly after she was born. At the age of 13, she refuses to allow her freinds to see her vulnerable and dependant on any medication, whatsoever. But now that she is in Jr.High school, the new basketball coach will not let anyone play basketball who cannot run the 1 1/4 mile without stopping for breath. Her response to the question "how can you keep up the pace for basketball"? is "I take a deep breath and go until I make a basket or pass the ball" I would like to know how, if possible, asthma can be cured.
